About The Little Woodshop

Hi, I’m Josh, a passionate woodworker based in Vermont. My journey with wood started at a young age, growing up in Connecticut and working for my father, an arborist. I spent countless hours around trees, learning to appreciate their structure, strength, and beauty. That early experience sparked a deep respect for wood as a material—not just in its living form, but in the way it can be transformed into something both functional and timeless.

After spending 12 years in Boston, I eventually settled in Vermont, where I continue to refine my craft. Whether I’m designing custom furniture, crafting unique pieces, or streamlining woodworking processes, I’m always striving to balance traditional techniques with modern efficiency.

Beyond the shop, I’m also developing The Woodworkers Planner (demo site coming soon), a tool designed to help woodworkers efficiently plan and deliver their work. With features like materials management, cost tracking, and design organization (including SketchUp support), my goal is to make the woodworking process more intuitive and organized for professionals and hobbyists alike.

When I’m not in the shop, you’ll probably find me spending time with my two cats, reminiscing about my hockey-playing days, or enjoying the natural beauty of Vermont.

Let’s build something great together.
